An Awareness Program on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) was organized by the PG Department of Commerce (General) of S. A. College of Arts & Science in association with the Institution Innovation Council on 28th April 2025. The session, held at GF08 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., was convened by Mrs. P. Karthika and coordinated by Mrs. Sathya A.
The program featured Mrs. Preethi Narayan, a distinguished Patent Consultant, as the resource person. She delivered an insightful presentation on the significance of IPR, covering patents, copyrights, trademarks, and industrial designs. She also emphasized the strategic role of intellectual property in research, business innovation, and entrepreneurship.
Fifty participants participated actively in the session, engaging enthusiastically during the interactive Q&A segment. The event was well-received, with participants commending the clarity and relevance of the content. The program concluded with a vote of thanks, marking the session as an enriching and informative experience for all.
