Prince Harry came to the UK for a short visit after arriving to see his father, King Charles. Charles had received a cancer diagnosis in February. He spent barely an hour with his father, who has made good progress toward full recovery in recent weeks and may even get back to work. It is his first major UK event since he and Meghan stepped back as senior working royals, confirming the prince's UK return very much in action.

Prince Harry is now all set to return to the UK in the wake of the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, with the due date of attending a Thanksgiving service at London's St Paul's Cathedral on Wednesday, May 8. Specifically, he will not travel with Meghan Markle.

According to royal expert Ingrid Seward, King Charles would want to see Prince Harry during his visit, depending on his living conditions in the capital. Seward claims that Harry's property security is crucial, potentially leading to a father-son reunion. Charles has so many official appointments at Buckingham Palace, among them his weekly meeting with the Prime Minister, and he wants to regain his son's trust.

Even though the visit will most likely be very short, it comes at the same time as an important date for the family: their son's 5th birthday—Archie. Following their trip to the UK, the Duchess of Sussex will accompany her husband, Prince Harry, on another work engagement, this time in Nigeria, at the invitation of the Nigerian Chief of Defence Staff.
